3rd April 2016 Sunday afternoon Jack up rig Paragon C-463 departed the K/12-G production platform of Engie Nederland destination IJmuiden.
Seagoing tugs for the voyage were 100ts Bollard Pull Pegasus assisted by Unterweser’s Urag Elbe and Multraship’s Multratug 14.
In the afternoon of the 4th of April the convoy arrived at the pilot station offshore IJmuiden.
The rig entered the breakwaters after which the lead tug Pegasus was exchanged for two harbour tugs of Port Towage Amsterdam.
The rig was positioned successfully at the Trawler quay opposite the ferry terminal, this required narrow manoeuvring.
Offshore Marine Contractors co-ordinated the towage in co-operation with operator Engie Nederland and its owner Paragon Offshore.
