After successfully completing Well Intervention Works on Perenco’s Ravenspurn ST3 production platform, Seafox’s jack up accommodation unit Seafox 2 has been mobilised to the Irish Sea. The 725 nautical mile wet-tow of Seafox 2 is being coordinated and executed by OMC in close co-operation with it’s owners Seafox BV.
Seafox 2 was towed by the AHTS BB Troll (165t BP) and AHT Viking (70t BP) and port assistance entering the port of Holyhead provided by the multicat Salt Island. After a smooth and uninterrupted tow Seafox 2 arrived safely at Holyhead on 7th of April and shortly after proceeded to be safely berthed in Holyhead Port.
After a preparation period in Holyhead, the Seafox 2 will provide support works for the installation of the Walney Offshore Windfarm on behalf of Dong Energy in the Irish Sea.
Thanks to the Masters of BB Troll, Viking and Salt Island for the photo’s.
