On behalf of and in co-operation with client Keppel Verolme the Western Isles FPSO has been manoeuvred under OMC Towmaster guidance from the Europoort to the Keppel Verolme Shipyard in Rotterdam.
In co-operation with the semi-submersible heavy lift vessel Xin Guang Hua and Kotug-Smit Towage the Western Isles FPSO with a diameter of 78 meters and height of 32 meters has been safely positioned in the dock at Keppel Verolme Shipyard on the 19th of April.
The 30,000 t FPSO will be undergoing final outfitting in Keppel Verolme Shipyard before being deployed to an offshore location 160 km east of the Shetland Islands where it will be used to develop two oil fields called Harris and Barra,
